What is TensegrityTensegrity is a series of movements also called Magical Passes, that were discovered initially by the shamans of Ancient Mexico and were made publicly available and known by Carlos Castaneda. The term Tensegrity is borrowed from the architecture and is composed of the words tension and integrity. A Tensegrity structure is composed of structural elements that are connected together via balanced tension and compession forces. All structural elements contribute to the overall integrity of the whole, resulting in a structure that has the ability to adapt its shape and form by keeping its integrity without disintegrating. In the case of the magical passes, Tensegrity refers to the interplay of tensing and relaxing the tendons and muscles, and their energetic counterparts, in a way that contributes to the overall integrity of the body as a physical and an energetic unit. |
